نویسندگان

چکیده

When evaluating general health condition on a patient, heart rate is an essential indicator as it directly representative of the cardiac system state. Continuous measurement methods are required for ambulatory monitoring involved in preliminary diagnostic indicators diseases or stroke. The growing number recent developments wearable devices reflective increasing demand wrist-worn activity trackers fitness and applications. Indeed, wrist represents convenient location terms form factor acceptability patients. While most commercially-available based optical measurement, others were also developed, various physiological phenomena. This review focused located forearm more specifically wrist. For each method, mechanism described, associated transducers bio-signal acquisition well practical prototypes presented. Methods discussed their advantages, limitations suitability use. More specifically, superposition motion artefacts over signal interest one largest drawbacks these methods, when used out laboratory conditions. As such, artefact reduction techniques proposed literature presented discussed.

A Novel Classification Scheme for Non-invasive Hemoglobin Measurement Methods

Hemoglobin (Hb) is an imperative constituent of red blood cells (RBC). Assessment of individual physiological status is accomplished by measuring Hb concentration in human blood. The limitations associated with invasive methods are distress during sample collection, wide analysis time and disability to provide real time monitoring. These limitations were addressed by a gamut of non-invasive sch...

Evaluation of human allogeneic collagen gel for correction of nasolabial folds using non-invasive measurement techniques

Background: With aging, the facial folds, grooves, and sagging tissue become more prominent. It is haracterized by loss of the collagen mass in the dermis and an increased array of elastin whirls in the deeper dermis. The aim of this study was to determine whether correction of nasolabial folds could be achieved using an allogeneic collagen product. Methods: Nine healthy volunteers participated...
